Dr. Jan Gacnik
Senior Vice President “Connectivity & Analytics”, IAV
Jan Gacnik is responsible for IAV’s global portfolio in the field of connected vehicles, fleets and associated engineering and service activities. His teams cover end-to-end systems engineering solutions as well as edge & cloud data platforms, bridging automotive and IT systems & culture. He joined IAV in 2011 and has worked in several engineering and management roles, covering different areas of modern E/E architectures.
He has a diploma in “electrical engineering and management” from the University of Hannover and a doctor’s degree in the field of “architectures for highly automated driving” from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the University of Braunschweig. He was an initial member of the “Stadtpilot” team of the University of Braunschweig, which was one of the first teams worldwide to demonstrate highly automated driving in urban traffic on public roads in 2010.
